Toss The Scale- Here's a Better Way of Measuring Fat Loss

 

Scale weight can be a good way to measure progress, but it’s far from the best way

 

For most people struggling with weight loss, stepping on the scale is nothing short of traumatic, so we’ve proposed a radical new approach to fat loss assessment. 

 

Get rid of your scale. 

 

That way, you will not have the temptation to check your weight too often (like several times a day) and the stigma associated with stepping on the scale is gone. 

 

Instead, measure your waistline at the same time each morning, on an empty stomach after you have voided.  This will provide as exact a measure of progress as scale weight, but serves as a better indicator of actual fat lost. 

 

After all, the scale can’t tell you whether those 5 pounds you lost were fat, water, muscle, or some combination of all three. 

 

However, your waist girth will likely accurately reflect body fat loss. 

 

You will be less tempted to measure your waistline several times a day, since it is more of a production than simply stepping on a scale.


The goal is to be vigilant of things that will influence your fat loss, but not to create an unhealthy obsession.
