Water quenches more than your thirst
Most people fall far short of their body’s daily water requirements. Our bodies lose the equivalent of 10% of total body weight of water in everyday processes such as breathing and excretion.
Those seeking to lose fat have even greater water requirements.
When your body undergoes lipolysis (the process of burning fat), fat oxidation results in acidic byproducts. These acidic byproducts require additional water to help buffer them in the bloodstream.
Compound that with the fact that over fat individuals contain less water in their bodies to assist in these processes and you can begin to appreciate the importance of drinking a sufficient amount of water.
Aim to drink as much water as you can stand, capping out at a gallon daily. Remember, it’s helping your fat loss efforts.
